One side of the Richmond Road flyover --- between Richmond Road and Shanthinagar Double Road -- was closed for traffic on Thursday night as the BBMP took up a resurfacing project. Traffic on this stretch will resume after 20 days once the repairs are completed.
The resurfacing work between Shanthinagar Double Road and Residency Road will be taken up after the Richmond Road and Double Road stretch is thrown open for
traffic. The stretch between Double Road and Residency Road will also be closed for 20 days during the repairs.
The traffic police said resurfacing work on both sides would be completed by October 10 and traffic should move below the flyover till then.
Repairs to both sides of RichmondRoad are in progress between Lifestyle Mall (D'Souza Junction) and Richmond Circle.The road repair project is likely to take about four months.
