More card swipe machines
The sources said directions have been issued to officials to equip each of the BangaloreOne centre with at least three card swipe machines (point of sale machines) to overcome the cash crunch due to demonetisation.
At present, most of centres have only one swipe machine. The move will encourage citizens to make payments using credit/debit card and will be in tune with the Centre's thrust on a cashless economy, the sources said. The centres are run on a public-private-partnership model.
