The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has decided to give alternative sites in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout to the allottees who did not get plots in Arkavathy Layout.
BDAChairman K Venkatesh told journalists on Friday that cases pertaining to nearly 300 acres in Arkavathy layout had to be settled. "Such a vast extent of land is presently available only in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda layout. So, we decided to provide alternative sites in the BDA's new layout," he said.
Venkatesh said, "The BDA is trying to settle all disputes and develop Arkavathy layout at the earliest. We have already held a meeting with land losers and those who have not been given sites at the Arakvathy Layout to accept alternative sites at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda layout.''
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday held a review meeting with the BDA and Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) officials. Bengaluru Development Minister KJGeorge and Venkatesh also attended the meeting.
However, around 1,800 site allottees and land losers and allottees have not accepted the BDA's offer of alternative sites at Kempegowdw Layout.

During the review meeting, it was decided to speed up work on providing underground drainage and water supply connections in the existing BDA layouts and at Kempegowda layout.
Venkatesh said BWSSB had delayed work in old BDA layouts such as Sir M Visvesvaraya and Banashankari sixth stage as they were yet to be paid. The BDA has to clear pending bills of around Rs 30 crore to BWSSB. "We have agreed to pay them at the earliest and hope to mobilse around Rs 1,000 crore by selling 5,000 sites in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda layout.
