Traffic chaos in Yelahanka
Mother Dairy Circle at Yelahanka New Town often witnesses dense traffic between 7 am and 9.30 am and from 5 pm to 8.30pm. Despite a traffic station located close-by, there are neither traffic signals nor traffic personnel to regulate the flow of vehicles.

BBMP must update records
It came as a rude shock to us when we were served a notice in February informing us that we had defaulted on payment of property tax for a flat owned by my daughter and other family members. It was alarming because we had actually been very regular in paying our property tax. We learnt subsequently that there was a mistake in the Khata number in the records maintained by the civic agency.
The correct Khata No is 7452-5/5 but it had been wrongly entered in the system as 7443-5-5. We were asked to write a letter to the BBMP requesting it to change the Khata number and that it would be updated in a couple of months. Till date, the Palike has not updated the details.

Women's coach needed in Metro
The BMRCL is requested to follow the Delhi Metro's example and reserve a compartment for women as the train is invariably overcrowded, making it difficult for females to travel comfortably. The stretch between Vijayanagar and MG Road is particularly crowded and a separate coach for women would make it convenient for them to have a hassle-free ride.

Skywalk at Baiyappanahalli Metro station
As the number of people using the Namma Metro from Baiyappanahalli has gone up significantly, the BMRCL is requested to construct a skywalk outside the station. The skywalk would help people avoid manoeuvring heavy traffic to cross Old Madras Road more so because the traffic police are not posted at the stretch.

Auto drivers fleecing commuters
Charging exorbitant fare has become the norm in Allalasandra under Yelahanka police station limits. All autorickshaws here demand at least Rs 40 even for a distance of one km. Most autos parked in front of Janapriya Apartments do not ply by metre and some drivers often get drunk. Residents have no option but to hire these autos and pay Rs 40 to reach NES bus stop, which is just a kilometre away. The Yelahanka traffic police are requested to check on these errant drivers and ensure that autos here ply by meter.
