A 30-year-old man was killed after a schoolbus collided with his bike near Garvebhavipalya service road, Hosur main road, on Saturday morning. Police are yet to ascertain if schoolchildren were in the bus when the accident took place as the driver is absconding.
Police said James Keith, a sales executive in an automobile showroom and a resident of Garvebhavipalya, was on his way to a nearby shop around 8 am when the accident took place.
Police said as Keith approached Garvebhavipalya service road, a speeding bus, belonging to Sadhguru Sainath International School located near Kudlu village, hit the bike. Keith sustained severe head injuries. Passersby called the Madiwala traffic police station. Police personnel took Keith to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
The driver of the schoolbus sped off. A case has been registered at Madiwala traffic police station and efforts are on to trace the driver.
