The high court on Wednesday directed Foyer Constructions Private Limited to maintain status quo with regard to the proposed construction of a flyover over a public road connecting two building at Pattandur Agrahara behind ITPL.
A division bench, comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice K Somashekhar, passed an order to maintain status quo with regard to the dispute over the road.
The petitioners, Krishnamurthy PA and others, residents of Pattandur Agrahara village, have challenged the move by the private construction company which wants to close down a nine-foot road which forms a major link to the local residents. The residents have contended that the road, which is being used for many years, is also the link to the SC/ST Colony located nearby.
The bench directed BBMP counsel to express its stand on the alleged road encroachment and adjourned the next hearing to November 21, 2016.
