10 held for running prostitution racket in massage parlour

Sleuths of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided a massage parlour and arrested 10 people for running a prostitution racket.

The suspects are identified as Meena Anil Kumar (32), a native of Haryana and the owner of the parlour, Porjith (23), Imanuel (23), Pavan (25) all three agents from Assam, Patrick (36), Chandan (25), Suresh (30), all customers from Bengaluru, Vinod (31), Pathan Manjur (32), and Chandramohan (38), customers from Andhra Pradesh. The police recovered 10 mobile phones, a swiping machine and Rs 1.88 lakh from the suspects.

The police rescued two girls from West Bengal and one each from Maharashtra and Punjab.
On a tip-off, the police raided Affix Spa and Salon on 80-foot Road in Banaswadi. The building, where the spa is housed, is owned by Narayan. The suspects attracted customers by advertising services like body-to-body massage. However, they used the victims for running a prostitution racket instead.

The victims told the police that Mohan, another suspect, promised them decent jobs in Bengaluru and brought them to the city.

Meena forced them in to flesh trade.While the suspects pocketed most of the earnings, they paid the victims only a meagre amount. Other suspects in the racket including Mohan, Priya, Rakesh, Manisha and Narayan are at large.

In a similar incident, the police raided Style Wellness Centre Unisex Salon and Spa on 31st Main Road in Indiranagar and recovered six mobile phones, six credit cards, a swiping machine and Rs 15,000.

Inter-state criminals held


The police arrested eight inter-state criminals and recovered four stolen vehicles and Rs 11 lakh from them. The suspects were, all residents of Kuppam in Chittoor, targeted customers carrying money from banks.

They would follow the customers and throw a few currency notes on the road.They would drag customers into conversations and attract their attention towards the notes on the roads. They would snatch the customers' bags containing money when the customers bent down to collect the notes on the road and would flee.
