Parts of North and East Bengaluru received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday evening.
Dasarahalli, Dasanapura, Shettihalli, Madanayakanahalli, Alur and Peenya in Bengaluru North received 7 mm to 12 mm rainfall, with Dasanapura receiving the highest of 12 mm, according to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre. HBR Layout, Lingarajapuram, Kushalnagar, Horamavu, Nagenahalli, Kodigehalli among other localities in the East too received rain.
The city received 3.4 mm of rain till 8.30 pm and HAL airport 1 mm. Manohar H N of Peenya said it rained for 10 minutes in his area, giving respite from the hot weather. The weatherman has predicted cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain in the next 48 hours.
