Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sleuths have intensified the search for a realtor wanted in the IIPU Chemistry question paper leak racket.

The CIDhas sought the help of the public in tracing the suspect, identified as Narayan (in pic), a resident of Sadashivanagar. "Narayan got the question paper to help his son who appeared for the exam in March-April 2016. He is the only suspect yet to be arrested in the case. He absconded after the case was handed over to the CID by the Malleswaram police in April 2016," a senior police officer told DH.

"The CIDhas booked him under the provisions of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crime Act (KCOCA). He has moved the High Court," the officer said. Narayan had made arrangements to answer the paper at his Sadashivanagar residence. Narayan's son Obalaraju and Rudrappa were trained to answer the question paper a day before the examination, said the police.

The police raided Narayan's residence based on the information given by Kiran, another suspect in the case. Narayan's family members told the police that he had not come home since April.
