Registrations open for 2016 India Innovation Challenge

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), along with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), have announced the registration for the 2016 India Innovation Challenge on the portal https://mygov.in.

Registrations for India
Innovation Challenge are open to engineering students across all recognised institutes of India. The last date for registering is September 30. The 10-month event includes the top teams which will be given the opportunity to get their start-ups incubated at IIMB's reputed incubation centre, the Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL).

The TI will provide technical resources and guidance throughout the challenge, including tool support and mentoring to design, make prototypes and create the final product. DST will provide funding of Rs 3.5 crore to the student start-ups.

The funding will go toward a product development fund of Rs 1.5 crore and seed fund of Rs 2 crore for the top teams to incubate their start-ups.
