The report of the legislature panel on lake encroachment headed by Speaker KBKoliwad will come in 64 volumes.
The panel is preparing a hobli-wise report on the encroachment and a total of 32 hoblis will be covered in Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts. "Two volumes will be brought out for each hobli. Details of the extent of encroachment of each of the 1,545 lakes surveyed in Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts will be included in the report," Koliwad told reporters in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
He said the panel will recommend confiscation of properties of land grabbers and the officials who have colluded with them. The panel will also recommend filing of criminal cases against them. The committee will submit its report inDecember, Koliwad said.
