Thieves struck at an electronics shop near Silver Jubilee Park and made away with cash and expensive mobile phones in the early hours of Friday.
According to the police, thieves broke into the S S Electronics shop and escaped with Rs 9 lakh cash and mobile phones worth several lakhs of rupees.
Nasir, the owner of the shop, noticed on Friday morning that the shop's shutter was damaged and the lock broken. He noticed cash and the mobile phones missing. The miscreants had also damaged the CCTV cameras.
Nasir alerted the Silver Jubilee Park police, who visited the shop and collected the fingerprints.
The shop was looted by a gang of five from Rajasthan in 2012 too. The gang was arrested by the police. A case has been registered at the Silver Jubilee Park police station.
