The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation and North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation will not ply between 6 am and 6 pm.

However, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited will run its services as usual. Station controllers have been directed to be alert and monitor the situation, and suspend services if there is any trouble.
The Karnataka State Private Bus Owners Federation will not participate in the strike and will continue operations, which are mainly transport services for private companies.
The Bengaluru urban district administration has declared a holiday for schools and colleges. The administration said that school managements can compensate for the lost working hours by functioning on two full Saturdays in September.
The All India Bank Employees' Association, Bank Employees Federation of India, All India Bank Officers' Association and Indian National Bank Officers Congress have issued a notice, stating support for the strike. Several private banks like Vijaya Bank and Axis Bank will, however, function as usual.
The Karnataka Government Secretariat Employees Association has asked its employees to go on unauthorised leave. Association vice president Ramesh Sanga said they will restrict the entry of employees into the Vidhana Soudha and other government offices at the gate itself. "We will not allow anybody inside. We will go on unauthorised leave. We don't know what action the government will take," he said.
IT and ITeS companies, including Infosys, IBM, Bosch, will function as usual, said company representatives.
Autorickshaws and cabs will also be affected as the Autorickshaw Drivers' Union, Bangalore Drivers Union and private taxi operators have extended support to the strike. They are expected to resume operations after 6 pm.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said the state police have been directed to ensure law and order is maintained. The home department has been asked to take precautionary measures to ensure that the public is not inconvenienced, he added.
