The government on Tuesday ordered a CID probe into irregularities in Dreams Infra for cheating of people.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tweeted: "I am concerned over 2,000 people affected by Dreamz Infra Co case. All accused were arrested. Case being given to CID for further action.(sic)''.
Director General of Criminal Investigation Department H C Kishore Chandra told DH that they have already started investigations.
On Tuesday, the firm's properitor Sachin Naik and nine associates were arrested and taken into police custody.
The fraudsters Naik, Mandeep Kaur, Disha Choudhary, Shataparni Majumdar and a few others floated Dreams Infra, TGS Construction and Gruh Kalyan Properties. He also had other businesses under Send my Gift and dailypooja.com.
