In order to make policing more effective and help people reach the police station at the earliest, three new police stations were inaugurated in the city on Monday.
Home Minister G Parameshwara inaugurated the Gurappanapalya, Bandepalya and Begur police stations coming under South-East division.
Parameshwara told reporters after the inauguration that police stations were reorganised to equally divide the work load and make them more accessible to people. He also said recruitment was being done regularly and claimed there was no shortage of personnel in the city.
