A few streetlights are not working on the service road that leads to Purva Riviera, Rohan Vasantha and Purva Fountain Square apartments below the Marathahalli bridge. Will the authorities concerned look into the matter?

Recharge borewells in Andrahalli

Andrahalli, Vidyamanya Nagar and the adjoining layouts depend on borewells for water supply. Failed rainfall has dried up lakes and borewells in their vicinity.
The Thippagondanahalli pipeline passes close to/upon Herohalli lake. Will the BBMP and the BWSSB take steps to recharge the lake which could then rejuvenate borewells in these localities so that a crisis in the summer is averted?

Rash driving culture

Recently, my 79-year-old mother stepped out to do shopping near Sangam Circle in Jayanagar, 8th Block. While crossing the street back home, she was forced to run at the end of the zebra crossing to avoid a bus that did not slow down to let her cross. She fell down and hurt her elbow. Luckily, she did not fracture her arm or sustain any serious injury. Such incidents have become all too common and no longer raise an eyebrow in today's Bengaluru.
Identifying and publicly calling out this rash driving culture can and will make a difference.

Ply buses from Jayanagar to Kengeri

As many people travel between Mysuru and Bengaluru every day, it would be helpful if the BMTC could introduce mini-buses every half an hour from Jayanagar 4th Block to the Kengeri railway station via the satellite bus stand on Mysuru Road.

Complete flyover construction

Thousands of people travel on Baiyappanahalli Road every day, but get stuck in traffic. A patient even died in 2014 as the ambulance was stuck in traffic. Why is the government lethargic in completing the flyover near the Baiyappanahalli railway cross? While ministers and government officials enjoy seamless travel with convoys, ordinary citizens are put to hardship. They should travel on Baiyappanahalli Road during peak hours.

Slabs on drains give away

Thanisandra Road was upgraded and re-tarred four months ago, but its condition has only worsened. The footpath is littered with stinking garbage, and slabs on drains have given away.

Misleading notice at BangaloreOne

A highly misleading notice has been put up on the entrance glass door of the BangaloreOne centre in Bescom complex on Old Airport Road. I found it out during a recent visit to the centre to enquire about the issuance of coupons and get an Aaadhaar application form for a relative.

Whither civic sense?

On February 1, around 10.30 am, a mini silt-removing van pulled into Hutchins Road opposite Richards Bakery. Two workers opened the manhole opposite Apollo Pharmacy, scooped out the muck and deposited it on the road. After closing the
manhole, they walked into the van and sped off!
The sludge is getting dried and infecting the locality.

Modi Hospital Road in dark

Streetlights on Modi
Hospital Road in Rajajinagar have not been working for nine months now,
seriously inconveniencing pedestrians and motorists alike. Complaints were made to the officials concerned but they have done nothing.
