A 38-year-old woman ended her life after killing her son at her house in Nelagadaranahalli, Peenya, on Monday.
The police said that Subhadra, a garments factory employee fed pesticide-laced food to her son Srikanth (15) and later committed suicide by consuming poison.
According to police, Subhadra was upset as her husband Omkar Naik had deserted her three years ago. The incident came to light when neighbours smelt stench from the house and broke open the door. Peenya police have registered a case.
