The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday raided five government officials in different parts of the state for owning disproportionate assets. The officials raided are: K R Mahesh, assistant engineer at Mysore Urban Development Authority(MUDA), Suresh G C, revenue inspector, Kengeri, Bengaluru (South), Narasimhaiah, office superintendent at Muzarai Department, M R Chalapathygowda, office accountant at Yeldur in Kolar and Girish, bill collector at Bannikuppe GP in Ramanagaram.
The ACB officials conducted searches at the house of K R Mahesh at Vijayanagar, his office at MUDA, another flat at Brigade Apartment and an educational institution by name Saptagiri Academy in Mysuru. The police said they unearthed properties and valuables worth Rs 10 crore during raids. Officials found 1 kg gold ornaments, three luxury cars, several expensive watches and property documents.
The houses of Suresh at Srigandada Kaval and an under construction house at Mallathahalli, Bengaluru, were searched. Similarly, the premises Narasimaiah at Malur in Kolar district, another house in Ummulu near Hoskote and the premises of Chalapthy-gowda in Mulbagal and Yeldur village panchayat offices were searched. Another team of ACB officials searched the house of Girish at Bannikuppe in Ramanagaram and his office in Ramanagaram.
