The Subramanyapura police on Thursday arrested Satish Kumar, who was absconding after killing his two minor sons at his house at Beereshwaranagar on Wednesday morning.
The police said Kumar, a plumber, was held near Chunchaghatta after a few people informed them about a drunk man lying near a drain.
A senior police officer said the suspect was brought to the station and his wife Jyothi was summoned for identification. After she recognised her husband, police arrested Kumar. The police said there were blood stains on Kumar's shirt.
The officer said Kumar was still in an inebriated state but admitted that he committed the crime as he was angry with his wife for not treating him well and took revenge by killing their children Shivashankar (5) and Aditya (4). The police said he reportedly flung Aditya to the wall because of which he sustained head injuries and died on the spot. He then strangulated Shivashankar to death and fled the spot.
