The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has begun training for its officials for effective enforcement of existing rules and Acts.
In spite of stringent rules many officials were not aware of the powers and the action they can take. More than 100 KPSCB officials from across the state are being trained on the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974; Air (Prevention and Control pollution) Act, 1981 and Environmental (Protection) Act, 1986.
