The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will operate special services from all bus stands to Bal Bhavan and Cubbon Park on the occasion of the two-day Children's Day programme on November 13 and 14. The buses will be available at a frequency of one hour.
In addition, the BMTC has planned to display an old double decker bus 'Kaveri' at Cubbon Park, behind Venkatappa Art Gallery. The bus will also carry a photo exhibition depicting the evolution of the BMTC.
Besides, there will be two quiz sessions with questions about the BMTC and public transport, which will be held in the Kaveri Bus at 3 pm and 5 pm on November 13.
Schoolchildren can take part in the quiz. Attractive prizes will be distributed to the winners, a statement issued by the BMTC said. On the same day, students of Head Start Education Academy will perform a play titled 'BMTC' at Cubbon Park, behind Venkatappa Art Gallery at 6.15 pm and 7.45 pm. There will be two performances with each session lasting 40 minutes. A limited number of seats will be available.
