The ninth edition of Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES) will be held inBengaluru and Mysuru from February 2 to 9 next year, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced here on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters after chairing a meeting of the organising committee of BIFFES, Siddaramaiah said 40 countries have evinced interest in participating in the festival.
The inaugural ceremony of the festival will be held in front of Vidhana Soudha on February 2 and the valedictory function will be held in front of Mysuru Palace on February 9.
Siddaramaiah also launched the logo for the festival on the occasion. There will be official selection (competition section for Kannada, Indian and Asian cinema), special theme section, documentaries, biopics besides seminars and workshops at the festival.
