Union Minister DVSadananda Gowda on Monday said he is yet to get answers from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on four issues he had raised pertaining to the steel flyover project in Bengaluru.
Speaking on the sidelines of Ekta Divas organised by the BJPto commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Gowda countered Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's recent charge that he (Gowda) was trying to confuse people over the steel flyover project.
Gowda said he had every right to seek details of the Basaveshwara Circle-Hebbal flyover project as a major portion of the bridge traversed through the parliamentary constituency he represents in the LokSabha (Bengaluru North). Gowda said he had raised four issues pertaining to the flyover -- its cost, the mode of funding the project, toll aspects and environmental concerns. The chief minister was only making general statements but had not gone into the specifics. "I am still waiting for a proper answer," he said.
BJPstate president BSYeddyurappa said the BJP will complete several "unfinished tasks" including installing the statue of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari in Hebbal lake, if voted back to power.
The Rs 25-crore project was first mooted by Yeddyurappa, when he was chief minister in 2011. The project later got entangled in controversies.
