Parking on footpaths near South End Circle
Vehicles are being parked haphazardly at Thi Nam Shri Vrittha, popularly known as South End Circle, on the road leading to Shri Madhavan Park right next to MP Ananth Kumars office. Residents are forced to risk their lives by walking on roads.

Potholes galore in JP Nagar
The roads at Shreyas Colony, J P Nagar 7th Phase, particularly at 1st Main, are riddled with potholes. Children playing or cycling on these roads are at risk of getting injured severely.

Bus service on old routes needed
The bus terminus at GKW Layout, Vijayanagar, is equipped with good facilities. However, a few BMTC bus drivers and conductors have started skipping the trip to GKW bus stand. Instead, they are taking short-cuts through VTTMC Garage stops. The authorities, instead of penalising such errant drivers/conductors, have abolished the buses in most of the routes (viz. 75E, 176D, 59C) and reduced the number of trips in 61F, 63B and 60J.

Increase bus frequency
The frequency of BMTC buses, especially the route 266 series from Lakshmipura Cross (MS Palya region) to BEL Circle, Majestic and KR Market, is abysmally low especially in the morning hours. This inconveniences students who need to commute to schools from Lakshmipura Cross. I request the BMTC to increase the frequency of the 266 series so that students as well as regular commuters are not inconvenienced.

Dysfunctional streetlights
Streetlights on the upscale St Mark's Road between the State Bank of India (SBI) office and Anil Kumble Circle have gone defunct for the past two months. Since the stretch is devoid of commercial establishments, it is pitch dark in portions and appears extremely unsafe. Even some cables dangling on this street add to the nightmare of pedestrians.

Potholes steal Malleswaram's charm
It is extremely sad that the whole of Malleswaram has been reduced to patches, potholes and pits of late.
Navigating the so-called "roads" is a herculean task for motorists. Roads and pavements have been repeatedly dug up over the past two years on the pretext of repairing the leaking water pipelines in the locality.
In this relentless digging expedition, the 11th main road takes the cake for its continuous stretch of ugly crates right from Srirampuram till 18th Cross.
Also, the parking space for vehicles is woefully inadequate. If this is the plight of one of the oldest and once posh extensions, one shudders to imagine the condition of other areas.
